The YES will cover all the costs for the selected volunteers, except for IGLs, whose costs are covered by their MOs.
Tickets should be purchased as early as possible and with economical transportation methods.
Reimbursement:
- If your travel distance from home to EJB is less than 750 km, we will reimburse you up to 200 euros.
- If your travel distance from home to EJB is more than 750 km, we will reimburse you up to 300 euros.
- For volunteers outside of the European Union, you will be reimbursed through the clearing system of EEE-YFU. You can reach out to the Project Coordinator that will explain you the details for your specific case.
- Distances are calculated with the EU distance calculator: https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/resources-and-tools/distance-calculator
- If you choose to drive, you can only be reimbursed a maximum amount of 200-300eur (depending on ±750km distance as explained above), unless traveling by public transportation would be cheaper. In this case you will be reimbursed the price of the public transportation.
- Only 2nd class tickets can be reimbursed.
- Make sure to always keep your boarding passes (for the round trip), unless your travel tickets will not be reimbursed.
- Reimbursement requests must be made within one month from the volunteer's travel date; after this period, requests will no longer be considered unless otherwise agreed.
- Any exceptions need to be clarified in writing with the Project Coordinator, including other methods of transportation than public transportation.
